Week 43: Huntington Beach (Aka Raymond)

So...I was supposed to go to Huntington Beach last Tuesday but I was so sick on Transfer day that our President told us not to transfer.  Hermana Garcia didn't have any symptoms so she transferred to her new area, but Hermana Votaw and I have been here in Raymond for a week!  We've been really fatigued so mostly just sleeping this past week with a few phone lessons, zoom planning sessions, and some great personal study! He was baptized a few weeks ago but now the Adversary is coming at him and he's going through some tough times. We did have an amazing mission conference! It is always so fun to he reunited with our friends. Hermana Jackson gave her departing testimony and made me cry. She was my STL my first 4 transfers. Literally my adopted mission mom. I am going to miss her so much!! Miracles this week: -We had an amazing lesson with our friend Paula. She is this sweet old lady who has had such a hard life. Just this past week, her granddaughter's husband was killed in Mexico. It's hurts to see all the burdens our friends carry. But we talked about the atonement of Jesus Christ & it was so powerful!! Paula kept on saying how important it was to be baptized so we can go back and live with Christ!! She gets it!! She has to work 2 more Sundays and then she is so excited to start coming to churc...
