Week 13

This week was soooo good! We were able to teach many of our friends and help them continue to progress. At zone council, we talked about the importance of baptism. This is the reason that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is so important because the authority of God is on the earth to perform the essential ordinances to return to live with our Heavenly Father again. During the Savior's earthly ministry, he traveled far to be baptized by John the Baptist, because he possessed the proper authority. The Book of Mormon Prophet Nephi teaches: "And now, if the Lamb of God, he being holy, should have need to be baptized by water, to fulfil all righteousness, O then, how much more need have we, being unholy, to be baptized, yea, even by water" (2 Ne 31:5). This is the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ! Each of our friends are praying right now to know if this is the Church of Jesus Christ and if they should be baptized. Please pray for them that they can recognize the ans...

Week 12: Cerritos

This week was the first week of the new transfer! I am so grateful that Hermana Midence get another transfer in Cerritos. I know there are still people we need to find & lessons we need to learn together here! We are trying even harder to do our best & trust in the Lord this transfer. Our zone had A LOT of changes, and we miss the missionaries who left. Our zone is a lot different now. But something I've realized is even the people who you think you'll never love, if you spend time with them and get to know them, at the end of sharing all these experiences, you miss them when they leave. I'm sure we'll come to love this group of missionaries too.  But the Lord is hastening his work here in Cerritos! We saw so many miracles. One of the most amazing miracle was that on Tuesday night, after a CRAZY day of transfers & car troubles (trial of our faith), God led us to find two FAMILIES who are so ready to accept the gospel! Here are some of the miracles: -We found...

This has been a CRAZY week. This was also the last week of the transfer (we only had a 5 week transfer)  I am so happy I am staying with Hermana Midence in Cerritos! She is literally the best missionary & trainer ever. And I love all the friends we've made here!  Here are some highlights: - We had exchanges with the STL's which was an adventure. All 5 of us Hermanas ended up sleeping at the STL's apartment, we woke up early the next morning to take Hermana Murdock to the temple because it's her last week, and got to stop by Costa Mesa on the way to see my MTC comp, Hermana Young, which was so fun! Afterwards, we had lunch at a local burger place in Huntington Beach that was sooo good! And I got to see the Pacific ocean for the first time. BUT, when we got back to the STL's apartment around 1, we realized our car got TOWED and we had to go to the sketchiest place in Santa Ana to pick it up. After that, there was no point in continuing the exchange so we went back...

Week 10: Cerritos

Hi everyone! It's been a little bit of a hard week. Not many things went how we expected them too, and we didn't see a lot of visable success this week. But this was a growing week, and as we were reminded by President Nelson, we are going to continue praying for miracles and have faith that God will work this miracles in his time. We did have some funny things happen to us tho! I wish I could remember them more. We met the ZL's friend whose getting baptized this week named Julie, and when she met us, she thought my name was Hermana "Deadly" and that Hermana Midence was 12. here were some of the best parts of the week: -Dinner with Brenda and her kids (also her friend Enrique who's a member and his daughter was there). Brenda made the best enchiladas and flan. Then afterwards we taught them and some of the kids about the atonement of Jesus Christ and Brenda's 9 year old, Giovanni, started asking us lots of questions about the Plan of Salvation. He is so ...
