Week 76: La Rosa

Hola a todos!! It's been another amazing week! The elect are just Falling out of the sky. I just love being a missionary!!

Highlights
-I got to share a spiritual thought with my Dudley cousins who were at Lake Anna last week.
-Exchanges with Hermana Edgely! We made a language study plan, found Maria, and became best friends
-Interviews and MLC with the Galoteras

Miracles
-Lucas acted in faith and decided to live the Word of Wisdom! But the sad news is he didn't come to church this last week so we'll have to push his baptism back at least a week:( This is going to be a big week for Lucas. He needs some extra prayers this week!
-On Friday, we got a referral for Jackeline. We called her and said we could come over in an hour! So we showed up and she was so excited for us to be there and teach her, her 18 year old son, Bryan and his son's best friend, Slater. We taught them in a mix of spanish and English about the Restoration ofnthe gospel of Jesus Christ. In the end, Bryan said he was amazed because just the day before, he had prayed out loud and asked God for a sign. The next day, we showed up!
-Ok, this ones a long story, but a couple of months ago, we met this little girl named Naomi. She told us we could come back another time and we forgot til a couple weeks ago. We went back to the house we thought it was on Saturday, and there were 7 adults there from Gautemala. They said there was a little girl there named Naomi. They were reading the Bible and let us in to share a message. We testified of the Restoration. In the end, we're not sure how interested all of them are, but there's one, Leslie, who we think has a lot of potential. In the end, Naomi came out and it was totally a different girl then the one we met. But I guess everything happens for a reason haha.
-Noel and Edgar both came to church this week!! Then later on Sunday, we had a dinner with the Quesadas and they invited Noel and Edgar. Afterwards, we watched the Restoration video and all shared our testimonies of Joseph Smith as a prophet of God. Noel and Edgar both recommited to be baptized once they know for themselves that the Book of Mormon is true.
-We had a last minute lesson with Enrique last night and the Quesadas came with us. Enrique had so many different questions that we ended up teaching him for two hours most of the first three lessons. In the end, he still felt like He was still looking for an answer. Then Sister Quesada, who doesn't even speak spanish, says "I feel prompted to share this scripture with you." And reads Proverbs 3:5-7. When she read verse 7 that talks about not relying on your own opinión, he started crying and said that was his answer! I am grateful that Hermana Quesada is in tune with the spirit!

Prayers
-for Lucas to come to church
-for Noel to get a permanent job
-That Edgar can leave the worldly things behind
-that Heydi can come back to HB this week

Spiritual thought
"And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins" (Book of Mormon, 2 Nefi 25:26)
I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World. It is only through Him and his teachings that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father. I love the Savior and I am so grateful for the time I have to be His representative.

Love you all!!
