Week 36: Raymond

Updates!!

It's hard to believe it's been another transfer! I had the priveledge of being companions with Hermana Cordova for her last transfer in the mission. I learned so much from her dedication to our Hermanas. 

I am so excited for this next transfer!! I will be comps with Hna. Votaw & Hna. Garcia. Hna. Votaw and I are trio training!! It's gonna be a party :))

Miracles this week:

♡Carlos and Noemi went to the temple! It was so sweet to watch Carlos be baptized for his grandfather and be able to baptize Hermana Cordova for her ancestors as well. 

♡We started teaching a mom and her daughter! Anell and Catherine are neighbors of a member family. We had an amazing lesson about the gospel of Jesus Christ and at the end invited them to watch general conference. Annel turned to Catherine and said "if you tell them yes, you have to wake up at 9 am Sunday to go to church. If you don't want to tell them no." And they kept their commitment!

♡Catherine, Annel, Cornelio, David, and Ariana all watched General Conference! Cornelio watched every single session. He is so prepared!!

Recently, a lesson I have been learning is that although God expects my best efforts, he does not expect perfection. Christ was the only perfect missionary. I am grateful to know that He is with me, walking beside me. 

Elder Holland once said:

"I am grateful to know that in spite of my imperfections, at least God is perfect—that at least He is, for example, able to love His enemies, because too often, due to the “natural man” and woman in us, you and I are sometimes that enemy. How grateful I am that at least God can bless those who despitefully use Him because, without wanting or intending to do so, we all despitefully use Him sometimes. I am grateful that God is merciful and a peacemaker because I need mercy and the world needs peace. Of course, all we say of the Father’s virtues we also say of His Only Begotten Son, who lived and died unto the same perfection." (Be Ye Therefore Perfect, Eventually)
