Week 32/33:Raymond

Here's an update on the last TWO weeks...

☆We got to go to Día de Hispanidad!!! It's this big event that's basically like Christmas for the Spanish stake. 4 hours of food and music and watching tradicional Hispanic dances!! It was so fun. The best part was I got to see so many friends. Hna Jackson, Hna. Young, Brenda & Enrique's family ANNNNDDD...my trainer Hermana Midence surprised us and came back with her family.

☆Went on FOUR exchanges...with Hna. Garcia, Hna. Garrick, Hna. Veikoso, & Hna. Echeverria. We worked really hard, found new people to teach, learned a lot, and went to bed really tired every time.

☆When I was on exchanges with Hermana Garcia, we met this lady on the street a few weeks ago named Eloina. We shared with her the Restoration and she started to cry and told us she knows it is true. She's been having some health challenges recently but hopefully we'll be able to go back soon.

☆On exchanges with Hermana Garrick, the first lady we stopped on the street (Lourdes) let us share a message with her and we shared about the Savior's Atonement from the Book of Mormon (Alma 7:11-12) and told her we'd been sent as representatives of Jesus Christ to tell her how much He loves her and she just started bawling and told her how much she needed that with everything she was going through. It's so amazing that God puts us exactly where and when we need to be.

☆We've been working really hard with Norma to get ready to be baptized. She has a strong desire to keep learning, but just feels like she needs to learn more. She has started living the commandments which we are so excited about!!! We are focusing on helping her receive a stronger testimony of the Book of Mormon.

☆Hna. Cordova found Cornelio on Thursday when she was on exchanges and we went back on Saturday, taught him the Restoration and put him on date to be baptized on October 8!!! Milagrooooo!!!

Please pray fro Norma, David, Cornelio, y Rosa who are all preparing to be baptized but have some obstacles they need to overcome.

A scripture that has brought me a lot of comfort recently is D&C 6:36 "Look unto me in every thought. Doubt not, Fear not"

Just like Peter in the Bible, I have taken the step off the boato to follow the Savior, but it requires faith and constantly looking towards the Savior to keep going. Sometimes my fears cause me to stumble and look down, but I know as soon as I look to Him he can help me.

Love yall. Have an amazing week:))
